Pink Friday Rally!

On Friday March 13, 2009 we attended the PINK FRIDAY Rally held at Santa Maria High School. This rally was held to shed light on the thousands of educators who are losing their jobs here in the state of California.

It was great to see so many people coming together to speak out on the issue of education. There are hundreds of great people who are losing their jobs due to the economic mess we find ourselves in.

On a much more personally note, the economic downturn has hit our house too! My mom has found out that after 23 years of hard work for her school district they are reducing her hours and that she will no longer be receiving medical benefits. This is a scary situation and we still do not know what to think, feel, or do about this whole mess. Please keep us in your prayers that this whole thing is a nightmare in which we will wake up and that things will soon be better! If you live in the state of California please remember to vote YES to Prop 1A and 1B in the upcoming May special election!
